i’m usually not much of a photoshop art tutorial guy, but i thought this one was pretty cool…

luminescent lines

this is what i made with it:

1. signed up for typekit and started playing with it yesterday. got some great fonts to render on my browser. looked at it in IE 6 on a PC. didn’t work so great, but then again, my entire portfolio site doesn’t work so well on IE6. i cant’ believe 20% of the internet is still using that. anyone have a portfolio CMS they really love? WordPress is pissing me off with it’s lack of layout options.

2. got rid of DVR and advanced cable. saved myself $80/month. that’s money that can be used for more cab rides!

3. very close to setting up a dual monitor system at home. wish it wasn’t going to cost me $300 for the adaptor

4. got a wacom tablet at work. loving it so far, really makes a lot of little illustration things go much much faster.

5. heading for LA this weekend, a little bit of relaxation. will probably be headed to soCal quite a bit over the next month for work as well.

6. totally managed to screw up cupcakes FROM A MIX. sigh.
