i was on half.com today, buying quantum of solace, and i decided to browse textbooks and see if there were any cheap design books that i could start reading.

random thoughts on the last week, east coast trip:

  1. you can fit 5 people and luggage for a combined 5 weeks of travel in the trunk of a honda civic
  2. people do not like it when i whistle the “tetris” theme as they are trying to achieve the above
  3. fast food on the road: best kind
  4. Old Navy sells some rockin bathing suits, for cheap!
  5. cheap living, thy name is kingston NY
  6. the kingston plaza is the most depressing and awesome place on earth
  7. all behold the glory of the holidome
  8. my gps is wildly inaccurate with street numbers of back roads
  9. “i’m pregnant” will get you out of a field sobriety test in new paltz (must be a woman).
  10. there is apparently something unique about the september issue of “jugs”
  11. holiday inn bar on a friday night? terrible blues band and the people you would expect watching.
  12. when you are the last three people at the bar of the holiday inn the day before the wedding, and one of you is crying, it is time to call it a night
  13. briehan and alex do not mess around with their workouts
  14. indian sprints with 3 people are torture
  15. briehan and alex also do not mess around with the food after their workout (alex, i owe you $10)
  16. using the special “suit” side of my travel bag actually works!

  18. there are seat belts on school buses now.
  19. even if it rains, it’s worth having a ceremony outside. especially if you’re under a tent.
